| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical effect of modified huanglian wendan decoction on ventricular premature beats(VPB).[Methods] The 80 patients with phlegm fire disturbance heart-shaped VPB randomly divided into two groups, the 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated by oral Metoprolol, treatment group at the same time combined with Modified Huanglian Wendan Decoction, course of treatment for 4 weeks, observe and assess the occurrence of two groups of patients before and after treatment of VPB occurrences, the grade of VPB severity(Lown hierarchical), traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome integral, clinical symptoms improved and the occurrence of adverse reactions.[Results] After treatment, the efficacy, VPB occurrences, effective rate of Lown hierarchical and effective rate of TCM syndrome integral in the treatment group were better than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).[Conclusion] Modified Huanglian Wendan Decoction has a good clinical effect on VPB with phlegm and fire disturbing heart type, which is worthy of popularization and application. |
