Abstract
|
Primary dystonia is a syndrome of involuntary, persistent muscle contraction or postural abnormality of unknown etiology. It belongs to the category of "spasticity" in Chinese medicine. The patient in this case presented with involuntary elevation of the right shoulder for 2 years as the first symptom, accompanied by episodes of left-sided pulling to the right, unsteady walking and insomnia, and other symptoms. The diagnosis is that the qi is depressed, the aperture obstructs the Shenmeng, and the tendons lose their moistening. Professor PENG Dezhong used acupuncture in conjunction with the Shuman method to treat this condition, with remarkable results. |
