Abstract
[Objective] In this study, the association rule analysis and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were implemented to explore the effect of sweet-taste herbs on Euodia rutaecarpa in the process of compatibility, in order to provide a reference for the study of Euodia rutaecarpa compatibility mechanism.[Methods] The Apriori algorithm was used to explore the potential compatibility law and obtain the sweet-taste herbs that are often compatible with Euodia rutaecarpa. HPLC method was applied to detect the content variation of limonoids, evodiamine and rutaecarpine of Euodia rutaecarpa in compatibility.[Results] The 8 kinds of sweet-taste herbs can reduce the content of three main components in Euodia rutaecarpa in different degrees;Astragalus membranaceus significantly reduced the content of 3 active components, and licorice can obviously reduce the content of evodiamine and rutaecarpine but has no significant effect on limonoids.[Conclusion] Sweet-taste herbs can reduce the content of main toxic and active ingredients in Euodia rutaecarpa, and then reduce its toxicity. Astragalus membranaceus has the most significant effect of reducing the three components, glycyrrhiza has a good effect of "reducing toxicity and saving effect". In this study,an approach exploiting the data mining techniques and HPLC to explore the rationality of compatibility for Euodia rutaecarpa is here proposed. This strategy has the potential to provides a reference for the study of the rationality and regularity of Chinese herbal medicines compatibility.
