Abstract
|
To establish a foundation for further development and utilization of Hedyotis diffusa Willd(H. diffusa). The pharmacological activities and stability of iridoids in H. diffusa were investigated and summarized. As one of the traditional Chinese medicine,H. diffusa is rich in iridoids, which have varieties of pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammation,anti-fibrosis,liver protection, and so on. The hemiacetal structure of iridoid leads to poor stability and decreased or changed its pharmacological activity. In this paper, the pharmacological activities and stability of iridoids in H. diffusa reported in recent years were reviewed, which would provide reference for further research, development and utilization of the plant. |
