| Abstract

| [Objective] To explore the clinical efficacy of Desheng Capsule in the treatment of qi-stagnancy and blood stasis type irregular menstruation and its effects on follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), prolactin (PRL), estradiol (E2), progesterone (P) and testosterone (T) levels.[Methods] A total of 107 patients with qi-stagnancy and blood stasis type irregular menstruation admitted to Xi'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2018 to July 2020 were selected and divided into treatment group and control group by random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine treatment plan, the treatment group was given Desheng Capsule on the basis of the control group, total of 28 days were used as a treatment cycle, and treatment was continued for 6 cycles. The clinical efficacy, irregular menstruation symptom score and ovulation rate of the two groups were observed, and the changes of bilateral uterine artery hemodynamic indexes and FSH, LH, PRL, E2, P and T levels were compared before and after treatment in the two groups.[Results] The total effective rate of the treatment group (96.30%) was higher than that of the control group (83.02%) (P<0.05), and the ovulation rate was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the symptom score of irregular menstruation in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), the pulsatility index (PI), resistance index (RI) and ratio of peak flow velocity between systolic S wave and diastolic D wave (S/D) of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05), FSH, LH, PRL were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05), E2 and P were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the treatment group and the control group (3.70% vs 7.55%) (P >0.05).[Conclusion] Desheng Capsule has a definite curative effect in treating qi-stagnancy and blood stasis type irregular menstruation. It can promote menstruation to return to normal, increase ovulation rate, improve uterine artery high-resistance and low-velocity blood flow, and regulate sex hormone levels. |
