Abstract
Hyperthyroidism is one of the common, frequent and recurring endocrine metabolic diseases. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine has made certain progress in the treatment of hyperthyroidism. During clinical treatment, physicians often choose classic prescriptions (Chaihu Shugan Powder, Ejiao Jizihuang Decoction, Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder, etc.), experiential prescriptions(Yangyin Qingre Xiaoying Prescription, Yiyi Beimu Chaihu Decoction, Shugan Yiqi Yangying Decoction, etc.), proprietary traditional Chinese medicines(Jiakangling Tablets, Tianwang Buxin Mini-Pills, Yangxin Dingji Capsules, etc.) through interventions such as coordinating liver and spleen, clearing heat and diarrhea, leveling liver and latent yang, or using ear acupoint pressing, warm acupuncture. The treatment method can improve the patient's fatigue, irritability, hyperhidrosis, palpitations, insomnia and other hypermetabolic symptoms, regulate thyroid hormone levels and thyroid disease-related antibodies, and reduce the state of goiter to a certain extent. At the same time, it reduces the occurrence of liver damage, leukopenia, and itchy skin. Traditional Chinese medicine has played a role in improving the clinical treatment effect and reducing the occurrence of adverse reactions in clinical research on the treatment of hyperthyroidism.
