| Abstract

| The occurrence and progress of melanosis coli may be related to the use of anthraquinone containing traditional Chinese medicine. This paper briefly describes the understanding of traditional Chinese and Western medicine on colon melanosis, summarizes the clinical case study of colon melanosis related to taking anthraquinone traditional Chinese medicine and the latest mechanism study of anthraquinone traditional Chinese medicine on colon melanosis, discusses the possible impact of anthraquinone traditional Chinese medicine on colon melanosis, and puts forward some suggestions for the safe application of this kind of medicine. The prospect of the research direction of anthraquinone traditional Chinese medicine was proposed. |
