Abstract
Allergic rhinitis(AR) is a kind of non-infectious chronic inflammatory disease in the nasal mucosa, which is common in the clinic and cannot be cured radically. The incidence of AR in the global scope showed an ascendant trend in recent years with the changes in the environment, climate, and lifestyle. Due to its pathogenesis being deeply affected by the toxin, both exogenous and endogenous toxins can induce and exacerbate AR. To provide a certain theoretical foundation for the clinical prevention and treatment of AR, this paper preliminarily discusses the position of the toxin in the pathogenesis of AR from the different aspects of etiology, pathogenesis, prevention and control.
