Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effect of Qingnao Yizhi formula(QNYZF) on cerebral blood flow and blood lipid level in vascular dementia (VaD) rats.[Methods] The healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group, model group, low, middle and high doses of QNYZF groups. The rat VaD model was replicated by bilateral ligation of the common carotid artery(2-VO). After 4 weeks of intragastric administration, the rats' cerebral blood flow was measured with a Moor laser Doppler blood flow monitor. After the measurement, blood was taken and centrifugated. Serum was collected, and the content of total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), low-density lip-oprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) in serum was detected by an automatic biochemical analyzer.[Results] Compared with the sham operation group, the cerebral blood flow of rats in the model group was significantly reduced (P<0.05);compared with the model group, after the intervention of QNYZF, the cerebral blood flow of rats in the middle and high dose groups was significantly increased(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Compared with the sham operation group, the serum levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in the model group rats were significantly increased(P<0.05), while the level of HDL-C did not change significantly(P>0.05). After administration of QNYZF, the serum levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in VaD rats were significantly decreased(P<0.05 or P<0.01), but had no significant effect on HDL-C content(P>0.05).[Conclusion] QNYZF can effectively improve the cerebral blood flow of VaD rats through reducing the blood lipid level and improving the dyslipidemia. |
