Abstract
[Objective] To explore the effect of acupuncture deqi on brain function of acupuncture recipients,so as to provide experimental basis for objective characterization of acupuncture deqi.[Methods] The 30 healthy subjects were recruited and treated with deqi and Non-deqi operation respectively. The Vas scale was used to evaluate the subjective feeling of deqi, and the brain function signals of the subjects were collected by functional near infrared spectroscopy, compare the brain activation and brain connection of the recipient when deqi and Non-deqi;and correlation was analyzed with the subjective sensation of deqi.[Results] deqi significantly activated the insular part of bilateral frontal lobes, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, left triangle and right frontal pole;the functional connections between ipsilateral parietal lobe and temporal lobe, left temporal lobe and right parietal lobe were significantly enhanced;and there is a correlation between deqi sensation and brain function response.[Conclusion] deqi significantly activate the bilateral frontal lobes of the acupuncture recipient and enhance the connectivity of brain function in different brain regions;the brain functional response of the recipient may be helpful to objectively characterize acupuncture deqi.
