Abstract
    [Objective] Using CiteSpace software to analyze the study about hot spots and trends of gout in the past 20 years.[Methods] Author analyzed the literatures on gout in the Web of Science database from January 2000 to December 2019. CiteSpace software was used for the analysis of the cooperative network of authors, countries and institutions, as well as for the keyword collinear analysis and cluster analysis, and the co-citation analysis of authors, journals and literatures in the paper, then the relevant visual figures were drawn.[Results] There were 8 782 articles retrieved, and the number of published articles showed an upward trend. The author with the most literatures was Nicola Dalbeth, and the countries with the most literatures were the United States and China. It can be also seen that the top contributors were Univ Auckland and Univ Otago. Keywords with the highest frequency were gout and hyperuricemia, etc. And the analysis of keywords reflected the mechanism research of gout and prevention and treatment of gout are hot topics at present. The magazines with the most publications were Annals of The Rheumatic Diseases, Arthritis Rheumatology, etc.[Conclusion] Through the analysis of literatures on gout by using CiteSpace software, the research focused mainly on the basic study of NOD-like receptor protein3(NLRP3) inflammatory bodies and macrophage polarization, as well as the clinical study on the prevention and treatment of gout, which have certain reference significance for the future research of gout when choosing a reasearch topic.
