Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effect of liuzijue combined with breathing training on lung function and psychological status of patients with spinal cord injury. [Methods] Fifty-nine patients with spinal cord injury(SCI) in The Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into control group and treatment group. Both groups received routine rehabilitation training plan. The control group was given routine breathing training and inspiratory muscle training. The treatment group added the liuzijue on the basis of the control group. The patients' lung function, inspiratory muscle strength, and psychological status were assessed 8 weeks later. [Results] Eight weeks later, lung function, inspiratory muscle strength, and psychological status improved in both groups compared to before treatment(P<0.05),the forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),maximal voluntary ventilation(MVV) and maximum inspiratory pressure(MIP) of the training group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05),generalized anxiety disorder(Gad-7) and and patient health questionnaire-G(PHQ-G) Scores were significantly lower than those of control group(P<0.05). There were no significant differences in maximal expiratory flow(MEF)25%,MEF50%,MEF75% and peak inspiratory flow(PIF) between the two groups(P>0.05). [Conclusion] Liuzijue combined with breathing training can improve the lung function and psychological status of patients with spinal cord injury, and its effect is better than that of breathing training alone. |
