| Abstract

| Psoriasis,known as baibi in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM),is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with a strong genetic predisposition and pathogenic autoimmune features and is associated with many other conditions. The cause and mechanism of the disease have not been completely clarified,and the clinical treatment is difficult and easy to recur,which seriously affects patients' physical and mental health. In recent years,TCM has shown remarkable efficacy in treating psoriasis,but the occurrence of the disease and the problem of its persistence always have puzzled patients and clinicians. In this paper,we mainly analyze the root cause of the development of psoriasis from the perspective of the doctrine of ying and wei in the Nei Jing. Based on the theory of yin and yang,the pathogenesis of psoriasis is the loss of wei outside the body,the loss of ying inside the body,and the internal production of phlegm and stagnant blood,and the treatment principle of harmonizing ying and wei and protecting the spleen and stomach. Therefore,this paper proposes a new idea for the prevention and treatment of psoriasis by using the theory of ying and wei in the Nei Jing. |
