| Oligoasthenozoospermia is the main cause of male infertility，and currently，empirical drugs are mainly used for the treatment of oligoasthenozoospermia in clinical practice. Traditional Chinese medicine （ＴＣＭ） ｈas rich experience in treating oligoasthenospermia，and it has a significant effect in improving male reproductive function， which is one of the important means to treat this disease clinically. The andrology team of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine，based on the theory of “kidney governing reproduction”，combined with modern related research，innovatively put forward the concept of treating oligoasthenospermia with “deficiency of kidney essence as the foundation，tonifying kidney essence as the method，and fine-tuning yin and yang as the principle” on the basis of traditional kidney tonifying treatment. Guilu Yulin Tang is a protocol established based on this concept to treat oligozoospermia and asthenospermia. It is a combination of the classic formula Guilu Erxian Jiao and Wuzi Yanzong Wan. It has the characteristics of tonifying the kidney and tonifying the essence，warming yang without dryness，nourishing yin without cold，and fine-tuning yin and yang. It has achieved good clinical efficacy， aiming to provide a more intuitive reference for the treatment of oligozoospermia and asthenospermia with TCM. |
