Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the clinical effects of warm acupuncture and moxibustion at the Dazhui point(DU14) combined with fluticasone propionate nasal spray in the treatment of nasal congestion, lung qi deficiency and common cold. [Methods] Sixty-four patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The control group was given fluticasone propionate nasal spray, which was sprayed into the bilateral nasal cavity once a day in the morning for a 14 days treatment cycle. The treatment group received acupuncture based on the control group, with warm acupuncture and moxibustion at acupoints behind the greater vertebrae three times a week, every other day for two 14 days treatment cycles(12 treatments in total). The pre-treatment and post-treatment scores of both patient groups were observed and recorded, and the obtained data were statistically processed to analyze the treatment results. [Results] 1) Comparison of overall efficacy:87.1% of the treated group was superior to 64.5% of the control group(P<0.05). 2) Comparison of symptom and symptom scores:after treatment, all scores in both groups were lower than before treatment, and scores in the treated group were lower than in the control group(P<0.05). [Conclusion] The efficacy of warm acupuncture and moxibustion at the DU14 combined with fluticasone propionate nasal spray in the treatment of congested nose with pulmonary qi deficiency and cold allergic rhinitis is better than that of fluticasone propionate nasal spray control group, effectively improving patients' nasal symptoms, accompanying symptoms, and nasal signs, and being convenient and safe in application, which has important value in clinical application and dissemination. |
