| Abstract

| Gleditsiae sinensis fructus is a traditional Chinese medicine，rich in chemical compositions such as triterpene saponins，flavonoids，organic acids，lignans，amino acids and other chemical compounds，which possess a wide range of biological activities，including antitumor，antioxidant，anti-hyperlipidemic，and anti-HIV activities. It is commonly used clinically for bronchial asthma，bronchiectasis and other lung diseases. In this paper，herbal textual research，the main chemical constituents and the pharmacological effects of Gleditsiae sinensis fructus are reviewed，in order to provide a theoretical basis for the further development and application of Gleditsiae sinensis fructus. |
