| Abstract
|
| Lumbar disc herniation(LDH) is a common degenerative spinal disease, which seriously affects patients’ quality of life and imposes a substantial economic burden on both patients and society. To standardize management, the Spine Committee of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies(WFNS) released the latest international guidelines for LDH in 2024. These guidelines address the epidemiology and diagnosis of LDH,its conservative management, and the prevention and treatment of recurrence. This article summarizes the key recommendations of these guidelines and reviews the current status of LDH management in China,to provide a reference for clinicians in their practice. |
