| Abstract
|
| The Xin’an Medicine boasts a profound historical legacy. Professor HAN Mingxiang,a National Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine, stands as a distinguished representative of this tradition. The paper elucidates Professor Han’s clinical experience in diagnosing and treating idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF),grounded in his core academic principle of “consolidating the foundation and cultivating the vitality”(Guben Peiyuan). Professor Han identifies the key etiopathogenesis of IPF as:exposure to cold:a critical precipitating factor;qi deficiency:the primary constitutional basis;yin deficiency:the intrinsic pathological manifestation;and phlegm and blood stasis:pathological elements persisting throughout disease progression. His therapeutic approach integrates fortifying yang and nourishing yin, supporting healthy qi and eliminating pathogenic factors, and resolving phlegm and dispelling stasis throughout IPF treatment. Professor Han’s protocol demonstrates definite clinical efficacy and warrants broader clinical application. |
