| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To investigate the clinical efficacy of the “soothing and regulating the Sanjiao” technique with long filiform needles in the treatment of post-stroke insomnia. [Methods] By using the random number table method,98 enrolled patients with post-stroke insomnia were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. The treatment group received the “Soothe and Regulate the Sanjiao” needling technique with long filiform needles,while the control group received the same needling technique with conventional filiform needles. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index,Insomnia Severity Index,and Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome scores were observed before and after treatment in both groups to verify the efficacy and safety of different needling depths in the treatment of post-stroke insomnia. [Results] After treatment,data showed that the total scores of PSQI,ISI and TCM symptom scale in both groups exhibited a downward trend,whereas the decreases in the treatment group were more significant,with statistically significant differences compared with the control group(P<0.05). In addition,the treatment group also showed a remarkable advantage in the total effective rate,which reflected the overall therapeutic effect(P<0.05). [Conclusion] The “Soothe and Regulate the Sanjiao” technique with long filiform needles can significantly improve sleep quality and quality of life in patients with post-stroke insomnia. |
