Effect of Yang-invigorating Herbs in Preparations of TCM on the Secretion of Testicle Hormone and on Blood Cholesterol

Abstract
    Objective: To observe if the Yang-invigorating herbs in preparations of TCM is the material of androgenic hormone and can decrease the content of cholestrol, inducing factors of arteriosclerosis. Methods: The effect of Rou Zong Rong(Herbs Cistanchis), Ba JieTian(Morinda Root), Fu Pen Zi(Fructus Rubi), She Chuang Zi(Cridium Fruit), Tu Si Zi(Dodder Seed)and Yin Yang Hou(Epimedium)etc. on the concentration of cholesterol, androgenic hormone and glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(GPT)activity in blood was determined experimentally. Result: There is a correlation between increasing of androgenic hormone concentration and decreasing of serum cholesterol content.Conclusion: To obtain medicine for treating hypertension and sexual hyposthenia is promising.
