Abstract
Objective: To analyze the content of emodin in Radix Polygoni Multiflori by thin-layer scanning. Methods: Emodin was distilled with Soxhlet extraction process, using CHCl3 as liquor, Skellysolve B-ethyl acetate-CHCl3-HCOOH (10: 3: 3: 0.25) as developer and detecting wavelength 440nm. Results: The linearity of emodin was fine in 0.1~5.0μg(r=0.9995), average recovery rate 105.73%, RSD 2.43%, color dot stable for 4 hours. Conclusion: The method had laid the foundation for the control of the inherent quality in Radix Polygoni Multiflori.
