Abstract
|
Prof. Shan Zhaowei has plentiful experiences in diagnosing and treating chronic atrophic gastritis, the spleen and stomach diseases. He believes that the formulas and herbs should be chosen according to the syndromes of patients, thus even an ordinary herb can show a pronounced effect. The couple herbs that he likes to use are as follows: Baizhu matching with Baishao, one hard and one soft, can smooth the liver and replenish the spleen. Danshen with Gegeng, one falling and one rising, can regulate qi and blood simultaneously. Huangqin with Xianhecao can clear away pathogenic heat and induce astringency. Maidong with Banxia can moisturize dryness and produce body liquid. Zhishi with Banxia has the functions of both clearing away pathogenic heat and replenishing action. Laifuzi with Juemingzi can descend and tonify vital energy. Guya with Maiya can invigorate the spleen and stomach. |
