Influence of Gongxuening Ⅰon Hemostatic Mechanism

Abstract
    Objective: To observe the influence of Gongxuening Ⅰon hemostatic mechanism. Methods: Kunming mice and wistar rats were used. All experimental animals were divided into high dosage treatment group, low dosage treatment group, positive control group and blank control group. The bleeding and coagulation time of mice was tested. The rat’s prothrombin time (PT), activating partial thrombin time (APTT), tissue-profibrinolytic activity and inhibitor (t-PA, t-PI) and paletet aggregation was also tested.Results: Gongxuening Ⅰcould markedly shorten the bleeding time, coagulation time, PT and APTT. It also could enhance PAI activity by inhibiting t-PA activity and elevate platelet aggregation. Conclusion: Gongxuening Ⅰcould help to produce prothrombin and thrombin, to inhibit t-PA and promote platelet aggregation by activating both endogenous and exogenous blood coagulation factor. This may be its mechanism of coagulation and hemostasis.
