Abstract
|
Objective: To study the anti-inflammatory effect of Chuandilong (dioscorea nipponica) on arthritis. Methods: The model of acute non-infectious inflammation was induced by carrageenin. There were 2 groups: model group and control group (given Nimesulide).Chuandilong with different dosage, once a day, was given to all mice 3 days before the models were made. The thickness of metatarsus was measured before and 2, 4, 6, 8, 24 hours after the models were made. And serum salivary sialic acid was tested 24 hours after that. Results: Chuandilong could improve the swelling at 8, 24 hours obviously (P<0.05), and has no effect on serum sialic acid. Conclusion: Chuandilong has an anti-inflammatory effect on this mode. |
