| Abstract

| Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Huangqi Injection on senile congestive heart failure. Method: 60 cases were divided into 2 groups randomly. The treatment of cardiac stimulant, diuresis and vasodilatation were given to all patients.Intravenous Huangqi Injection, 60 mL, was only given to the patients in treatment group for a course of 14 days. Result: The heart rate lowered after the treatment in both groups. In the treatment group, the blood pressure a week after treatment had no difference with that of two weeks. In control group, however, it lowered significantly. The effective rates were 60.00% and 33.33% in two groups respectively. Conclusion: It is safe and effective to treat senile congestive heart failure with Huangqi Injection. |
