Abstract
|
The aim of Chinese materia medica modernization was of maintaining the health of human being actively. But there were some misunderstandings in the progress of Chinese materia medica modernization such as interpreting TCM with the model of western medicine, substituting reverting theory for systematic investigation and using research method in western medicine for exploration of TCM theory. Simultaneously, TCM itself also had shortcomings such as making less progress of TCM theory and lacking objectivity and standardization of clinical differentiation of symptoms and signs. Two points in Chinese materia medica modernization should be definited. First, the thought of differentiation of symptoms and signs with the concept of the organism as a whole should be inherited and developed. Second, what should be enriched was the technique and method could be controlled and easy contacted with modern science. |
