| Abstract

| SARS is caused by pestilential toxin. It should be named pestilence of lung-energy stagnation syndrome according to its focus and nature. Toxin was the characteristics of SARS. The innovation of external pathogenic factor induced toxin caused by stagnated damp-heat, stagnation of both interior and exterior. Then it changed into excess of dampness, heat and toxin. The duration was divided into fever stage, asthma stage, recovery stage according to the characteristics of the attacking being caused by mixing of both the exterior factor and interior toxin. The treatment was given according to the division of the duration and syndrome differentiation. |
