Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) on SARS patients at the recovery stage. [Methods] The differentiation of the cases by TCM demonstrated that they were classified to qi deficiency of the lung and spleen and residue of dampness, heat, stasis and toxin. So the therapy would be supplementing qi and promoting the production of body fluid, and invigorating the spleen for eliminating dampness. Huayu Tongmai Injection, which could remove blood stasis and promote blood circulation, could be given intravenously with 250 mL/d and ten days a course. [Result] After treatment most symptoms except stuffy sensation in the chest were improved such as low fever, cough, lassitude, constipation, poor appetite and so on. In eighty percent X-rays for chest was relieved with remained mottling in twenty percent. [Conclusion] There is a good therapeutic effect of TCM on SARS patients at the recovery stage. |
