| [Objective] To investigate the effect of Chinese medicine Tiaogan Daozhuo Decoction on PDGF-A and PDGFR-α expression in rabbits with AS.[Methods] The rabbits were fed with cholesterol-rich diet and underwent different management in each group simultaneously.The aorta was obtained for immunohistochemical examination at the end of experiment.[Results] In the model group, the aorta showed a heavily pathological changes of AS. And the positive expression of PDGF-A and PDGFR-α increased markedly. Tiaogan Daozhuo Decoction could inhibit the expression effectively.[Conclusion] Tiaogan Daozhuo Decoction can prevent the formation and progress of AS by inhibiting the increased expression of PDGF-A and PDGFR-αinduced by cholesterol-rich diet. |
