Abstract
|
[Objective] To evaluate serum diamine oxidase as a marker of intestinal injury and dysfunction by rabbit intestinal ischemia-reperfusion model. We also investigated the effect of HXCQ decoction on this model.[Methods] Rabbit model of intestinal I/R injury was established with clamping of the superior mesenteric artery for 60 min and then clamping was relieved for 60 min or 120 min.Animals were divided into 10 groups randomly, pseudo-operation group, three treatment groups(Ns, HXCQ decoction and lactulose). Three treatment groups included three subgroups;ischemia 60 min, reperfusion 60 min, reperfusion 120 min. Each group contained 6 animals. Serum was obtained for detection of diamine oxidase.[Results] There was low level of serum diamine oxidase in normal animal. Serum DAO was significantly elevated after intestinal I/R injury (P<0.05). But when administrated with HXCQ decoction, serum DAO was lower than with NS and lactulose(P<0.05).[Conclusion] Serum DAO is a good maker of intestinal injury. Traditional Chinese medicine HXCQ decoction can protect intestine from I/R injury. |
