Fructus Mume Pill was noticed initially in the chapter of Jueyin Disease in Treatise on Febrile Disease, which was held in esteem by doctors of successive dynasties. The key reasons lie in closely catching the pathogenesis, prescriptions corresponding to syndromes, reasonably making up prescription and precisely and appropriately prescripting. The peculiarity of making up a prescription according to the theory of properties and tastes of Fructus Mume Pill was discussed from three aspects; 1) with the character of sourness, acridness, bitterness and sweetness, hard stems and soft stems could be supplemented each other; 2)cooling up-energizer and warming down-energizer, purging and tonifying therapy were used simultaneously; 3)relieving superficies with acridness and expelling internal heat with bitterness both spleen and liver were coordinated. |
