Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the signal transduction disorder of gastrointestinal motility in experimental Piqixu rats and curative effect of Six Gentlemen Decoction on VIP receptor.[Methods] Measuring semi-quantitatively the distribution and content of VIPR1 and VIPR2 in antrum jejunum and colon with RT-PCR.[Results] There only was the expression of VIPR2 in the gastric antrum. The content of VIPR2 mRNA descended in Pixu models, compared with the control group. The Six Gentlemen Decoction could help them return to normal. In the jejunum and descending colon, there were the expression both VIPR1 and VIPR2.The content of VIPR1 and VIPR2 mRNA was descended in Pixu models, compared with the control group. The Six Gentlemen Decoction could help them return to normal.[Conclusion] The difference of distribution of VIP receptors in gastrointestinal tract may have some effects on the different disorder of stomach and intestine in Pixu models.Meanwhile,Six Gentlemen Decoction would correct the abnormalities of VIP receptors in experimental Piqixu rats.
