| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Xiaoyan decoction on non-small cell carcinoma of lung.[Methods] One hundred and one cases with internal vital qi deficiency combined with stagnant toxicosis diagnosed by syndrome differentiation in TCM were divided into group A (Xiaoyan decoction),group B (Xiaoyan decoction and chemotherapy),group C (chemotherapy only). Comparative observation was made.[Results] The total rate, including partial relief (PR) and No change (NC)was 79% in Group A(33 cases)after treatment,while in group B(37 cases)and group C(31 cases)were 81%,57%respectively. The distal metastasis rate in these three groups were 23%,16%,28% respectively.[Conclusion] Xiaoyan decoction has certain function in inhibiting growth and metastasis of lung carcinoma,enhancing daily life quality and immune function,and attenuation of side effects and strengthening the effect of chemotherapy. |
