Abstract
|
[Objective] To discuss the anti-microbial activities of Chinese herbs containing anthraquinone.[Methods] The inhibitory ability of giant knotweed and Senna seed on E.Coli;Senna seed and Polygonum multiflorum tuber on Enterobacter aerogenes;Chinese rhubarb and Giant knotweed on Staphylococcus aureus;Chinese ehubarb,Giant knotweed and madder on Bacillus subtilis;Giant knotweed and Senna seed on penicillium was investigated.[Results] The MIC of Giant knotweed,Senna seed(E.coli) was 0.025 and 0.125 (g/mL ethanol);Chinese rhubarb.Giant knotweed,Senna seed (Slaphy lococcus aureus) was 0.003,0.003 and 0.125(g/mL ethanol) respectively; Chinese rhubarb and Senna seed (penicillium) was 0.031, 0.063(g/mL ethanol) respectively.[Conclusion] The future of Chinese herbs containing anthraxquinone as natureal preservatives is encouraging. |
