Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy in counteracting the side effects of Anti Epileptic Medicine

Abstract
    Medicine therapy is the mostcommonly used method to control epilepsy attack at the present time.But it has severe side effects and toxic reaction.The author has treated an epilepsy patient with acupunture and moxibustion using xin shu (BL15) to regulate the Qi of heart and brain directly.Ganshu (BL18) and Shenshu (BL23) have the effect of dissolving phlegm,and the moxibustion with method Goto can counterpoise the Qi of Yin and Yang.(acupoints:Dazhui (DU14),Changqiang (Du1),along with their midpoint and two acupoints near the midpoint about 4cm,all of 5 acupoints are unpyogenesis moxibustion).In addition,Benshen (GB13) piercing Yangbai (GB14) and Yangbai (GB14) piercing Benshen (GB13) can give intersectant stimulation to forehead.The attack of epilepsy and the side effects of medicine are basically controlled with satisfied therapeutic effect after 3 months of treatment.But the trentment mechanism be explored further.
