| [Objective]To observe the effect of Zhuanggu Zhitong capsule(ZZC)on the proliferation and differentiation in rat of osteoblast,and provide experimental evidence on the mechanism for treatment of osteoporosis.[Methods]The second generation of rat osteoblast was cultured in medium with 40% ZZC-contained serum,and cell growth and the formation of calcium nodule were observed.Growth curve of osteoblast was detected by MTT method,while differentiation and prolif-eration were determined by measuring alkalinephosphtase(ALP)activity.[Result]Serum with absorbed ZZC obviously in-creased osteoblast proliferation and differentiation and the secretion of ALP.[Conclusion]Serum with absorbed ZZC can promote the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast in rats.It is probably the mechanism in preventing and curing the osteoporosis. |
