Abstract
The idea of life cultivation in Canon of Medicine has been developed on the basis of ideas of Taoism.It has suggested:1)adapting nature is the important principle of life cultivation;2)promoting mental health is the important measure in life cultivation;3)emphasis should be put on maintaining vital qi in guiding life cultivation.Compared with the ideas of Taoism,it was put forward that the ideas of life cultivation in Canon of Medicine were established on the basis of ideas of Taoism,meanwhile,emphasis would be put on the essentiality of exerting one‘s subjective ability and of the“Preventive treatment of a disease”.
