| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To investigate the preventive and therapeutic effect of Qianggu Dan(Strengthening bone pill)on the postmenopausal osteoporosis. [Methods] The disease was induced by ovariectomy.in rats.They were randomly divided into5groups:model group,Qianggu Dan high dosage group and low dosage group,western medicine group and the sham op-eration group.Bone mineral density(BMD),bone mineral content(BMC),serum estradiol(E2),bone calcium plain(BGP),tartaric resting acid phosphorus5b(TRACP5b) and urine deoxypyridinoline(Dpd)in each group were detected by double energy X-ray(DEXA),RIA and ELISA. [Results] Qianggu Dan can obviously increase the level of BMD,BMC and serum E2 and reduce TRACP5b and Dpd in serum.It can also lower the content of BGP. [Conclusion] Qianggu Dan may inhibit bone absorption,lower the rate of the bone transformation,and reduce the bone losing by regulating the function of cor-relative endocrine glands,so has a significant preventive and curative effect on postmenopausal osteoporosis. |
