| Combined prescription is a method to combine several prescriptions guided by the idea of therapy with syndrome differentiation. It is a special form of prescription modification. The application of combined prescription was based on the changes of disorders and pathogenesis. When they are pure, single prescription is enough; when complex and there are two or more cardinal symptoms application of combined prescription will reveal their advantage in response to the changes of clinical condition. Therefore, combined prescription is of some value to note to clear up the experiences of the elders, to enhance clinical effect and even in the conformity of prescription of TCM etc. |
