| Abstract

| Canon of Medicine has established a foundation for the treatment of epidemic febrile diseases by acupuncture. In the Ming and Qing dynastics, a new system of therapy taking traditional Chinese medicine as the main measures and guiding by defensive Qi and nutrient blood and syndrome differentiation of triple energizer has established. Meanwhile no important development in treating the epidemic febrile diseases by acupuncture had been achieved and a intact theoretic system is awaiting for coming into being. Based on the description and discussion from Canon of Medicine and ancient doctors in treating febrile diseases by acupuncture and combined with the modern clinical application,the acupuncture treatment rule for different phases of defensive Qi and nutrient blood in epidemic febrile diseases has been developed primarily. |
