Abstract
[Objective] To study the liver-protective effect through the observation on influence of Sini San on Bax-gene expression in injuried hepatic cells. [Methods] The hepatic injury was made by oral perfusion of lithocholic acid. The expression of Bax-gene of liver tissue was observed with immunohistochemistry. [Results] The positive expression rate of bax-gene of hepatic tissue in mice was increased by gavage of lithocholic acid and could be decreased by Sini San. [Conclusion] The liver protective effect of Sini San may be related to the decreasing effect of expression of bax-protein and liver cell apoptosis.
