Abstract
    [Objective] To explore the clinical epidemic rule and the influence factors of hyperviscosity syndrome(HVS).[Methods] The clinical epidemiologic in vestigation was applied. [Results] It was found that the incidence rate of HVS among middle-aged and elderly people of resident of district was 56.40%. Out of them, male patients accounted for 58.30% female patients for 41.70%,27.11% was less than 45 years old and 36.14% between 46-59. Patients in 60 years old or more occupaied as much as 36.75%. Smoking,drinking alchohol,preference for meat and salt,drinking tea,hot temper, aptting to be anger and depression,stress,less movement,cerebrovascular disease and family history of chronic liver disease etc. contributed to HVS. [Conclusion] Hyperviscosity Syndrome is a commonly seen disease among the middle-aged and elderly people. Eleven factors, including smoking can elevate the incidence rate of this disease.
