| Abstract

| The hypertension belongs to the categories of ″dizziness″ in traditional Chinese medicine. The pathogenesis of dizziness is divided into types of hyp eractivity of liver yang,deficiency of kidney essences,insufficiency of both qi and blood,phlegm and dampness accumulation inside and blood stasis and the obstruction of collaterals by later doctors. According to the pathogenic factors and pathogenesis,5 therapeutic methods are summarized. They are removing dampness by extinguishing wind,removing dampness by nourishing kidney and warmth smoothing, tonifying spleen to eliminate phlegm,promoting blood circulation and removing the blood stasis,and nourishing both qi and blood etc. |
