Abstract
[Objective] To explore the influence of water-soluble active principle(salvianolic acid B) and fat-soluble active priciple(tanshinone ⅡA) on the functions of endothelial cells in rabbits with atherosclerosis.[Methods] Atherosclerosis was induced in rabbits by feeding cholesterol and oil.The influence of salvianolic acid B and tanshinone ⅡA on plasma TXB2,6-keto-PGF,ET was observed by radioimmunoassay.[Results] In the salvianolic acid B group, the content of TXB2,ET was reduced and the content of 6-keto-PGF was increased. But there was no significant difference between control group and tanshinone ⅡA group.[Conclusion] The mechanism of salvianolic acid B and tanshinone ⅡA in treating atherosclerosis is different.
