Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the protective effect of Huoxuehuayu injection I HHI.I against lethal hypoxic injury in mice. [Methods] Forty Kunming mice were randomly divided into four groups.Ten mice were in each group with male and female distributed equally.During the experiment,0.9% saline control group,1.5% HHI.I low dosage group,3.0% HHI.I moderate dosage group and 6% HHI.I high dosage group,0.5 mL per mouse, were administrated respectively. One hour latter, the mice were put into a 5% hypoxic chamber and recorded their survival time in one hour period. After that, the water content of the brain and lung tissue samples was determined. [Result] Compared with the control group,6% HHI.I group could markedly decrease the water content in brain P<0.01.A tendency of decreasing of water content in lung was observed as well. But the difference in survival time wasn’t significant between groups.However,3% and 1.5% HHI.I group didn’t have the similar actions. [Conclusion] The 6% HHI.I has significant preventive effect against the brain edema formation induced with 5% hypoxia in mice. |
