| Abstract

| At present, there are some different recognitions and contrary opinions on the attribution of branch of knowledge, existed form, research domain and research content in clinical Chinese drug science. These problems have affected the construction and development of the science in a certain degree. One of the important problems in the development and construction of clinical Chinese drug science is insisting on integrating medicine and drug, TCM and TCD, traditional study and modern study, clinical research and experimental research in order to achieve a end point where the old medicine is used in new curative therapy, common drug is used particularly, curative effect and dosage has been optimized and the safety of medicine has been enhanced. We have discussed in this article the attribution, task and characteristic, foundation, main study domain, research content and existed form, developmental direction and pathway, knowledge and ability of talents, scientific system and its relationship to other branches of Chinese drugs. It has been indicated that constructing and using well the clinical research base is the work, requiring strengthened presently in the construction and development of the branch of knowledge of the clinical Chinese drug science simultaneously with building well a special laboratory and carrying out the investigation of literature theory. |
