| [Objective] To investigate the clinical effect of Xuanfei Kechuan (promoting the dispersing function of the lung and treating Cough, XFKCF) prescription in treating cough variant asthma.[Methods] Sixty patients with cough variant asthma were divided into two groups randomly. The patients in the treatment group were treated with Xuanfei kechuan prescription and that in control group with bambec troche. The symptoms of all patients before and after treatment were recorded. The function of lung and PD20FEV1 were also determined.[Results] The total symptoms, times and degree of cough in treated group were better than that in control with significant difference. PD20FEV1 increased in both groups and there was a obvious difference before and after treatment. However, there was no difference between these two groups.[Conclusions] XFKCF has definite therapeutic effect on cough variant cough. The total effect is superior to that of Bambec troche. It can also decrease the high reaction of respiratory tract. |
