Abstract
|
[Objective] To estimate the therapeutic effect and the influence on the Caspase-3 of baicalin in rats with focal cerebral ischemia by TTC staining, through the evaluating the score of animal neural behavior and observing the cerebral tissue ultrastructure.[Methods] Ischemia and reperfusion in rats were established with thread occlusion. The score of the behavior was measured through nervous function examination and TTC staining after focal cerebral ischemia. The pathologic change and ultrastructure observation were adopted as a auxiliary measure for evaluating the therapeutic effect. The change of Caspase-3 expression was detected by in-situ hybridization. Finally we could estimate the therapeutic effect and mechanism of baicalin in rats with focal cerebral ischemia accurately.[Results] Baicalin could reduce the areas of cerebral infarction, alleviate encephaledema, decrease the expression of Caspase-3 in rat’s hippocampus and cortex after focal cerebral ischemia.[Conclusions] Baicalin has neural protective effect. To adjust the expression of Caspase-3 may be one of the most important mechanism of baicalin’s neural protective effect. |
