[Objective] To study the effects of Haimiding on the cellular membrane function and tumor cell apoptosis and explain its mechanism of anti-tumor.[Methods] Haimiding was administered to S180, H22 tumor-bearing mice to observe the function of cell membrane of red cell and tumor cell and apoptosis of tumor cells. The determination of the function involved the immunologic adhesive capability of red cells to tumor cells, sialic acid content on red cell membranes and tumor-cell membranes, and the sealing ability of red cell membranes and tumor cell membranes. The apoptosis was measured with Flow cytometry was used to detect the life cycle of cell and the proportion of apoptosis.[Results] Haimiding had effect on tumor cell and red cell membranes functions. They mainly appeared at the obvious increasing of the immunologic adhesive ability of red cells to tumor cells in tumor-bearing mice, increasing of the sialic acid content on red cell membranes and decreasing of it on the tumor cell membranes. Haimiding could also increase the sealing ability of red cell membranes and decrease it of tumor cell membranes meanwhile. Haimiding had some effect on inducing apoptosis and different dose had different influence on cell life cycles. Small dose made tumor cells locaterd mainly at the period of G0-G1. When the dose increased, the number of tumor cells stagnating in the period of G2-M increased.[Conclusions] Haimiding had action of anti-tumor in many ways. It appeared mostly at increasing of the cellular immune functions of red cells, decreasing of the functions of cellular membranes of tumor cells and it had effect on inducing apoptosis in a certain degree. |
