Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effect of Injection of Panax quinquefolii radix 20s-protopanaxdiol saponins (IPQDS) on rats with myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury.[Methods] The myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury was induced by 30 min occlusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery and 120 min reperfusion in rats. The changes of myocardial infarcted size(MIS), serum creatine phosphokinase(CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity, serum lipid peroxidation (LPO) content, superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity, plasma endothelin (ET), angiotensinII(AngII), prostacycline (PGI2) and thromboxane A2(TXA2) levels were determined.[Results] In rats treated with IPQDS at a dosage of 12.5, 25 and 50 mg/kg, infused at 30 min after coronary occulusion intravenously, the MIS was significantly reduced, the serum CK, LDH and AST activity and PLO were decreased, the plasma ET, AngII and TXA2 level declined also, while plasma PGI2 level and PGI2/TXA2, SOD and GSH-Px activity were increased significantly.[Conclusions] IPQDS has obvious protective effect on myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury, probably by improving free radicals metabolism, decreasing plasma ET, AngⅡ and TXA2 levels and increasing plasma PGI2 level and PGI2/TXA2 ratio etc. |
